TESTS, EQUIPMENT AND CERTIFICATES

FROSIO – an international organisation for the training and certification of surface coating inspectors. The FROSIO certification system is recognised worldwide and FROSIO inspectors comply with all requirements of international standards and specifications.

Bresle salt test – a tool designed to assess the quality of surface preparation prior to coating. This test measures the amount of salt on the surface of the product. The test is required because, with time, the salt on the product surface causes defects leading to premature corrosion.

Surface profile comparators (shot, grit) – allow for the visual evaluation of level of surface roughness and compliance after shot blasting, prior to applying the protective coating.

Dewpoint meter an electronic tool for evaluating the compliance of the climate conditions (air temperature, relative humidity, dewpoint, etc.) with the requirements prior to applying the coating.

Coating thickness gauge  a tool for measuring the thickness of the dry film. Provides reliable and accurate measurements with minimal tolerances; required to evaluate the compliance of the finished coating with the designed parameters.

Surface profile gauge – an electronic tool for the accurate evaluation of the level of surface roughness after shot blasting, prior to applying the protective coating.

Cross cut test – test of adhesion (adhesion quality) between the coating and the surface of the structure.

Dust tape test – a test to evaluate the size and amount of dust particles on the surface prepared for coating.

Wet film comb – a tool for measuring the thickness of the wet film.
